Working with Cedar
How does Cedar decide what my business needs?
Cedar starts with discovery: your market, competition, current marketing, sales process, and growth goals. From there Cedar recommends a custom strategy and defines scope, timeline, responsibilities, and investment before any work begins.
What does an engagement include?
It depends on the plan. Engagements can combine advertising management, website or landing page work, SEO and local visibility, conversion tracking, and reporting — assembled around your objectives rather than a fixed package.
Who will manage my marketing?
Cedar assigns responsibility based on the services and scope defined in your agreement. You will know who is responsible for the work, how communication will be handled, and what to expect before the engagement begins.
Where does Cedar work?
Cedar Digital supports established small businesses nationwide, with people and market experience in Buffalo, New York and South Florida. Advertising, websites, SEO, analytics, AI, automation and lead-generation work are delivered remotely, so clients do not need to be near either market.
How do I get started?
Request a custom recommendation on any page or call 716-697-6485. Cedar reviews your business and responds within one business day.
Google Ads & Meta Ads
Should I use Google Ads or Meta Ads?
Google Ads reaches people actively searching for what you sell, which usually produces higher-intent leads. Meta Ads reach people while they browse, which works well for visual services, local awareness, and retargeting past visitors. Many businesses eventually run both — Cedar recommends where to start based on your demand, margins, and sales cycle.
How is a campaign structured and tracked?
Campaigns are built around search intent or audience, with conversion tracking installed before launch so calls, forms, and qualified leads are measurable. Reporting shows spend, leads, cost per lead, what was tested, and what changes next.
Can Cedar take over my existing ad accounts?
Yes. Cedar reviews the account first, then takes over management. You keep ownership of the account and all historical data.
Does Cedar handle Local Services Ads?
Yes. For home services, Local Services Ads are often the strongest channel, and Cedar handles setup, Google Guaranteed verification, and ongoing bid management alongside Search.
Does Cedar create ad creative?
Yes — images, carousels, and short-form video for Meta, plus ad copy for Search. Cedar can also work with your existing brand assets.
Websites & landing pages
What platform does Cedar build on?
Whatever fits the project. Cedar builds custom modern sites when performance and precision matter most, and uses a CMS such as WordPress when your team needs to edit content directly. The recommendation is based on your ownership needs, editing requirements, integrations, and long-term goals.
Do I own my website when it's done?
Yes. You own the site, the domain, and the assets, hosted where you choose. No lock-in and no access fees.
How does a landing page differ from a website?
A website supports your whole business and organic visibility. A landing page is built for a single campaign and a single action, which usually raises conversion rates for paid traffic.
SEO & AI visibility
How long does SEO take to work?
Local visibility work such as Google Business Profile can move within weeks. Competitive organic rankings typically take three to six months to show movement and six to twelve months to compound. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is guessing.
What is the difference between SEO and AEO?
SEO earns visibility in traditional search results. AEO — answer engine optimization — earns citations inside AI answers from tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI results. AEO relies on clear question-and-answer structure, factual accuracy, schema, and credible authorship signals.
Does Cedar optimize for AI answers?
Yes. Cedar structures content with direct answers and Q&A blocks, publishes machine-readable files, adds FAQ and organization schema, and strengthens experience and authority signals that language models cite.
Does Cedar manage Google Business Profile?
Yes — it is part of local visibility work: posts, Q&A, photos, review response guidance, and category and service cleanup.
Measurement
How do I know if my marketing is working?
Track leads and cost per lead, not clicks or impressions. Cedar installs conversion tracking for calls and form submissions, then reports on qualified leads and what is being tested next.
What happens if a channel is not the right fit?
Cedar says so and recommends a better use of the budget. Recommending advertising that will not produce leads is not a strategy.
